Long run starts out with the dog

Today was my long run, and I started by running my dog Charlie. He's an amazing little Corgi with quite a bit of energy & endurance. We actually ran 2.30 miles together at an average pace of 9:45! Yes, I am impressed. We ran around the park twice then around the neighborhood. After a short break taking him back to the house and getting some water, I went back out to finish a total of over 7 miles. I ran out of the neighborhood by way of Fox Harbor, then east on Main Street to Stanfield. The turnaround was the neighborhood of Stanfield Place right by the homes of two of my friends. On the way back I ran behind Meijer and Lowes then back into the neighborhood by way of King's Chapel. I finished the run at 5 miles without the dog. The weather was great at 63 degrees and clear sunny skies with an 11 mph wind from the south south west.

Total Distance - 7.35 miles
Distance with dog - 2.30 miles; Time - 22:26; Pace - 9:45
Distance alone - 5.05 miles; Time - 47:43; Pace - 9:26
