Wow, it's been over a week since I last wrote in here. Well, last Wednesday was supposed to be speedwork, but it didn't happen. So Thursday I did the speedwork, but cut it down to 4x instead of 5x for my 0.54 mile laps around the block. Tried to concentrate on pace and turned out at 3:44, 3:40, 3:43, & 3:54. Yup, 5x would have been too much.
Saturday's long run ended up at 6.63 miles in 58:37 for a pace of 8:50. Too much to do to spend another half hour running. No worries, it's all good.
Couldn't wake up on Monday or Tuesday, so got in the 4 mile easy run on Wednesday. 4.06 miles in 34:45 for a pace of 8:33. Today (Thursday) ran Wednesday's tempo. 1.25 mile warm up and 1.07 mile cool down around 4.05 mile tempo in 30:37 for a pace of 7:33. Right around my average tempo pace.
Will I run tomorrow? Don't know. It's only supposed to be a 3 mile easy. Maybe so, maybe no. Depends on how I feel in the morning. Then Saturday is the long run. Definitely want to do at least 8, maybe 9 miles. I'm supposed to be up to 10 mile long runs, but it's not a need at this time. Next week is the 5K in Tipp City. Should be fun. Just keep plodding on ....
