Ok, food. Last night, ate my 1st Hot Head Burrito. Yeah, it was really good. Spicy chicken with black beans, little bit of rice, and banana peppers (which I never eat). And sleep was like yesterday: 5.5 hrs. Breakfast was like yesterday, grapefruit and oatmeal with stuff. Hey, it's yummy to me!
Then the run went "awry." Ok, not really, but I like the word. Yesterday's temps in the 30's with winds at 23 MPH didn't seem too bad. But looking at today's temps in the 20's, the same 20 MPH winds didn't seem reasonable. so I bailed on running. I ate my lunch of left over beef fried rice. And later at home I ate an orange.
Finally, the run! Yes, I ran on the treadmill at the gym. And it was my speedwork workout: warm up, 2x 1600 at 8:00 with 800 jogs, and cool down. I kept the treadmill at 2 degree incline. The warm up "mile" (I think it was longer) was run at a pace of 9:13, but I think I ran it for 10:00. Then I turned up the pace to 8:00 for 1 mile. Down to 10:00 for 0.5 mile. Then back up to 8:00 for another mile. Cool down for 1.5 miles at 10:00. Worst part of it all: I was watching the start of Clemson at Boston College. After a good start, Clemson slipped behind. Just found out they continued to be behind. At least I got in a good run.
Total Distance - 5.38 mi; Time - 47:30; Avg Pace - 8:50
