It seems like I'm getting to that phase where I don't keep daily track of my workouts. Normal running logs record all kinds of things, like how I felt or what I ate or stuff like that. But I don't record that stuff anyway, and blogging about it days later means there's no way I'm going to remember it anyway. Well, I guess I just like writing. Maybe I'm hoping this will last somehow.
Monday morning for an early run. It was still dark out, but the weather was uncharacteristically cool. It was 64 degrees out with winds ENE at 4 mph. It was just an easy 3 mile run around the neighborhood. Not much else to say about it.
Distance - 3.02 mi; Time - 28:56; Pace - 9:35
Wednesday morning was obviously different from earlier in the week. Tuesday was even cooler than Monday - I probably should have run then. Wednesday was warmer and more humid. The temperature was 73 degrees with winds SW at 3 mph. I modified my training schedule instead of doing a total of 5 miles with some interval speedwork, I ran 4 miles with some fartleks. I didn't keep track of how many, but it made it kind of fun. I did remember scaring a guy who was walking on the sidewalk when I passed him. Maybe I should have called out.
I remember that I was totally soaked by sweat after the run. It was a good run, but it was definitely hot out that morning. Oh, I did remember that I weighed myself before and after the run. I lost 1 lb in sweat that morning. Amazing, huh? 1 lb in 37 minutes.
Distance - 4.06 mi; Time - 37:22; Pace - 9:12
I skipped running Thursday or Friday. It was going to be Thursday morning, then I thought of running Thursday night. That didn't work and I didn't feel like running at all on Friday. So I had to make myself get up Saturday morning. I didn't get up that early, like my usual Saturday runs. But it has been so long, they're hardly usual any more. It was 8:05am when I started and it was 68 degrees with winds ESE at 5 mph. It became really sunny out, and by the end of my run I passed Grismer's clock which said it was 77 degrees. It was a 9 degree rise in just over an hour.
The run turned out to be pretty good. I was a little unsure starting out, but by mile 4 I was feeling pretty good. I ran my typical loop by downtown with the intention of stopping when I got back to Speedway since that was the 8 mile point. At the intersection of Main and Stanfield I stopped running and walked to Meijer for the bathroom and to get some Gatorade. It was a mile walk home after that. It was a good run, but I'm wondering how much of it I will feel in the morning.
